Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains what happens when you request deletion of your account, what data is removed, what may be retained for legal reasons, and exactly how to make a request.

1Your Right to Deletion

You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data from Tutoring Manager Africa at any time. This right applies to all users — students, parents, tutors, and institution administrators.

2What Gets Deleted

Upon a verified deletion request, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems:

  • Your full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
  • Login credentials and authentication records.
  • Session history, results, and academic progress records.
  • Messages, notifications, and in-app communications.
  • Personal settings, preferences, and notes.

For institution administrators: deleting an institution account also initiates deletion of all associated admin, tutor, student, and parent profiles, unless those individuals have active accounts on other institutions or have submitted independent deletion requests.

3What We Retain

Certain records are retained to comply with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations. These include:

  • Payment and transaction records processed by Breezy ArtDrop Studios via Paystack. These are retained for up to 7 years in accordance with tax and financial regulations in Ghana and applicable international standards.
  • Anonymised, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to any individual.
  • Records required in connection with any ongoing dispute, complaint, fraud investigation, or legal proceeding.

Retained payment data is held by Breezy ArtDrop Studios and Paystack in accordance with their respective data retention policies.

4Payment Data & Paystack

All payments on Tutoring Manager Africa are processed by Breezy ArtDrop Studios via Paystack. Your full card and mobile money credentials are entered directly into Paystack's secure environment and are not stored on our servers.

If you wish to request deletion of payment data held by Paystack, please contact Paystack directly at support.paystack.com, referencing the email address associated with your transactions.

5How to Request Deletion

There are two ways to delete your account:

  • In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This immediately deactivates your account and triggers the automated data deletion process.
  • By email: Send a request to support@tutoringmanager.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Include your full name, the email address on your account, your role (student, parent, tutor, or admin), and the name of your institution if applicable.

We will verify your identity before processing any email-based request to prevent unauthorised deletions.

6Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours of receipt.

Full deletion of eligible data will be completed within 30 days of identity verification.

You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

If your request cannot be fulfilled in full (for example, due to legal retention requirements), we will explain which data is being retained and why.

7After Deletion

Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Tutoring Manager Africa in the future, you will need to create a new account. Your previous data will not be restored.
